The Plan for Neighbourhood is an exciting opportunity for Wisbech to receive £20 million of investment from the Government, driven by the local community. As part of this process, Fenland District Council, in consultation with the MP, the Leader of the Council and other selected representatives, is asked to appoint a new independent Chair for the Wisbech Town Board. The Wisbech Town Board is an established community led Board to build civic capacity in the town and drive forward a community-led vision for change. The Board drives priorities for investment and steer the long-term vision for Wisbech, in conjunction with the local community. The Wisbech Town Board is responsible for developing the Plan for Neighbourhood Regeneration Plan, a 10-year vision which clearly identifies the longer-term priorities for Wisbech and 4 year Investment Plan. The Council is the accountable body and provides secretariat and support to the Board and its appointed Chair.
