Help Shape Development Across Fenland

Fenland is a pro-growth district with an increasingly important role in delivering housing, infrastructure and sustainable economic development.

Fenland District Council is an award‑winning, forward‑thinking organisation, set within a distinctive rural landscape in north Cambridgeshire. Our four market towns and surrounding villages offer strong community identity alongside excellent transport links to Cambridge, London, Peterborough and the North Norfolk coast.

We have a positive, can‑do culture that enables us to punch above our weight—empowering our people to go the extra mile and deliver high-quality services for local residents and businesses.

This is an exciting time to join us. We are strengthening our Development Management service in response to a strong pipeline of applications, major investment proposals and the opportunity to help shape high-quality, sustainable places across the district.

We are looking for motivated, collaborative professionals to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking Planning Team and play a key role in delivering Fenland’s growth ambitions.

This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference – shaping projects of local, regional, and national significance and helping to deliver a sustainable future for our communities.
